Black Rock City – Tuesday has traditionally been known as the day after the first day of the new work week, Monday—when the Stock Exchange reopens. It is considered by many investors and workers to be entirely mediocre.
“Tuesday? Yes. Tuesdays are boring,” answered Theodore Pound Sr., an un-hip wool-suited passerby in Reno’s financial district.
But what Pound Sr. doesn’t know is that False Profit, LLC—a company specializing in hedging fun—is intending to change the meaning of Tuesday.
With the endorsement of Black Rock City, LLC, False Profit, LLC will be throwing a Tuesday night party in the desert, and doing it in the spirit the of environmental responsibility that is so important to these corporate partners.
“Tuesday isn’t only about Joy. It’s also about Greening. And I am not speaking of profits,” said Orange Hulsman, Director of Pigment Conservation at False Profit.
Recognizing the diminishing natural resources of the vast estate that sustains a large segment of its investor base, False Profit, LLC has come up with a plan to lessen its impact on “the Earth”.
“As we always do,” explained Chloe Cockburn, VP for Arid Strategies at False Profit, ‘we will strive to make zero profit, as our studies have consistently shown that the profit motive kills ‘the Earth’.”
In addition, she described their never-to-be-patented process for harnessing the light reflected off the surface of the moon:
“We will place our camp directly beneath the moon, thus providing much of the light-energy needed for the party.
It is perhaps no coincidence that along with the moonlight, the party will harness the power of another extraterrestrial body, the Space Cowboy’s Unimog.
Said one exited investor, “The Unimog is my favorite star system.”
There will be a small stoppage of moonlight on Tuesday morning when “the Earth” is situated between the sun and the moon, known as a lunar eclipse, but this will not affect the party which commences on Tuesday night.
False Profit, LLC will stage a merger of celestial power and earth-shaking Bass on Tuesday night @ 4:30 & Esplanade and they are asking all investors to be present. It is not often, Board Members mentioned, that a day of the week is redefined.

Wed, August 15, 2007 - 1:28 AMFull Moon! (b)Aroooooo!
Little known fact: The moon, approximately 4.5 billion years old if you are an evolutionist, consists of 40% bass. The other 60% is, of course, cheese. So, while not vegan, it is in fact very very awesome.

Sun, September 9, 2007 - 2:47 PMand since thanks is being given...
we are beyond belief grateful to all the artists that throw such deliciousness at our ears on the regular. that party was criminally good and immorally decadent. you all were absolutely essential to that unethical night.
